Children must attend and participate in the Parish
Religious Education program or Catholic school each year from
Grades 1 through 8. Children who have missed a year or more
will be evaluated and placed in a special make-up program until
they are ready to return to regular PREP classes. In addition
there are special preparation programs for all parents and
Preparation for First Reconciliation and Eucharist may begin in grade two.
Grade nine is the minimum for Confirmation candidates. Sponsors for
Confirmation must be at least 16 years of age, baptized and confirmed in
the Catholic faith, and must be practicing their Catholic faith. Parents may

The normal process for adults and children age 7 and above
baptized in another Christian denomination is the RCIA (Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults). This process may also be appropriate for adults
baptized Catholic who have not received Eucharist and Confirmation.

confirmed and wish to receive the sacrament of confirmation may also
